Kwikmart Refund policy

At KwikMart, we want every buyer to shop with confidence and peace of mind. Our Buyer Protection Policy ensures that your purchases are safe, secure, and backed by fair refund practices.


1. Buyer Protection Guarantee

·       All purchases made through KwikMart are protected by secure payment gateways (PayFast, Ozow, EFT, SnapScan).

·       Vendors must clearly state their refund terms before listing a product.

·       If a product is misrepresented, defective, or unsafe, buyers have the right to request a refund.


2. Refund Eligibility

Digital Products (eBooks, Courses, Software, etc.)

·       Refunds are available if the product is faulty, inaccessible, or not delivered as described.

·       Change of mind is not covered once the product has been downloaded or accessed.

Physical Products (General)

·       Refunds are available if the product is defective, damaged on arrival, expired, or significantly different from the description.

·       Buyers may need to return the product to the vendor in its original condition.

Food Products

·       Refunds are available if the food item is:

o   Expired or delivered past its “best before”/expiry date.

o   Contaminated, spoiled, or unsafe to consume.

o   Incorrect (not the item ordered).

·       Refunds will not be granted for:

o   Change of taste preference.

o   Items opened/consumed unless proven defective or unsafe.

Health Supplements

·       Refunds are available if the supplement is:

o   Expired, mislabeled, or damaged on arrival.

o   Found unsafe or recalled.

·       Refunds will not be granted for:

o   Opened bottles/containers, unless proven defective.

o   Change of mind or “no visible results,” as results vary per individual.


3. Timeframes for Refund Requests

·       Digital products: within 7 days of purchase.

·       Physical products (including food & supplements): within 14 days of delivery.

·       Claims for expired, unsafe, or contaminated items must be made immediately upon discovery.


4. How to Request a Refund

1.     Log into your KwikMart account.

2.     Go to your order history.

3.     Select the order and click Request Refund.

4.     Provide details and upload evidence (photos, receipts, etc.).

KwikMart will notify the vendor and mediate the process fairly.


5. Vendor Responsibilities

·       Vendors must comply with South African food safety and health supplement regulations.

·       All food and supplement products must include:

o   Clear expiry/best before dates.

o   Ingredient lists and allergen warnings.

o   Proper packaging and storage instructions.

·       Vendors must honor valid refund requests.

·       Failure to meet health/safety standards may result in suspension or removal from KwikMart.


6. KwikMart Mediation

·       In disputes, KwikMart reviews product descriptions, expiry dates, proof of delivery, and buyer evidence.

·       Refunds are issued if products fail to meet safety, quality, or description standards.

·       KwikMart’s mediation decision is final.


7. Exclusions

Refunds will not be granted for:

·       Change of mind after successful product delivery (unless vendor allows).

·       Buyer’s failure to store food/supplements correctly (e.g., ignoring refrigeration instructions).

·       Products that were consumed, except when proven defective or unsafe.
